FCS Kickoff Declared No Contest

MONTGOMERY – The 2025 FCS Kickoff was declared a no contest after a lengthy rain delay in the fourth quarter. The game was stopped at 9:04 p.m. (CT) with No. 7 UC Davis leading No. 11 Mercer 23-17 with 7:46 remaining in the fourth quarter.  Mercer had the ball on the UC Davis 48-yard line.

After a one hour and 56-minute delay the game was ruled a “no contest” by game officials. Per NCAA regulations the stats for the game will not count.

In 2022, Jacksonville State defeated Stephen F. Austin 42-17 in a game that was called in the third quarter after a lengthy delay.
